SUSTAINABILITY STATEMENTS

This Sustainability statement outlines our plans to support social, and economic advancement in order to achieve sustainable development.

Cedar Hospitality is focused on lowering its environmental impact at every point in our supply chain. We place the utmost focus on continuously monitoring and managing our considerable environmental impacts.

We are committed to ensuring that we are implementing practices to ensure the reduction of impacts on the environment. How we walk the talk:
● Comply with all applicable environmental regulations
● Prevent pollution wherever possible
● Communicate our environmental commitment and efforts to our staff and empower them to contribute and participate; and
● Continually improve over time by striving to measure our environmental impacts and by setting goals to reduce these impacts each year.

1. Responsible Packaging

Cedar Hospitality staff follow the widely known waste hierarchy’s three major stages - reduce, reuse and recycle. We ensure that all staff are well trained and abide by our waste management initiative. To stay up to date on recent advances and potential areas for improvement in this industry, we seek regular discussions with our suppliers about sustainable packaging solutions.

2. Sustainability

We make certain that all of our employees, suppliers, customers and external contractors review necessary training in order to comply with applicable environmental legislation. We endeavour to improve our environmental performance over time and to initiate new projects and initiatives in every area of our business that will reduce our environmental impact.

3. Ethical Supply

Cedar Hospitality works towards a better ethical supply performance within our supply chain. As we are dedicated to offering the highest quality products and services to our customers, we ensure that we forge close ties with our suppliers who share the same values, uphold our ethical standards and adhere to our code of business behaviour. Since our supplier partnerships are grounded in trust and open communication, the same standards must be upheld by all parties involved in the supply chain including employees and sub-contractors:

  • Employment is freely chosen.
  • Child and illegal labour shall not be used
  • Appropriate wages are paid and working hours are not excessive
  • Working conditions are safe and clean for all employees, stakeholders and contractors.
4. Diversity and Inclusion

Cedar Hospitality operates on the principles of diversity, equity and inclusion. We are resolute in our commitment to these ideals throughout all of our operation. They are critical to our goal and how we impact our community. We recognise that a varied variety of perspectives contributes to the creation of better answers to the complex problems that a changing and increasingly diverse world faces.

To better serve our clients and the surrounding area, Cedar Hospitality is committed to operating sustainably. We also promise to work with our stakeholders to reduce the detrimental effects of our operations on the social, economic and environmental spheres.
